Bamboo is not a new thing, it has been used for literally thousands of years in the Chinese culture. It has been used not only as building material, but a source of food, shelter, weapons, instruments, cotton and transport.
In more recent history, use of bamboo has expanded into other uses such as scaffolding on Chinese high rise and skyscaper buildings. The fact that these materials have been used for so long in these applications is proof that bamboo is truly a sustainable and ultra strong and versatile material. It is only in recent times, that the west seems to have cottoned on to this wonderful resource and while we belive it is still in its infancy, it has already made its mark on a variety of different industries.
Bamboo Warehouse flooring, as opposed to rare solid wood flooring, e.g. French Oak, Teak and Merbau, is very economical to both buy and install, as it doesn’t need to be laid on battens, sanded or sealed. It is a pre-finished product, which can be laid directly onto a 3 mm layer of foam, and onto the existing floor. Because the engineering of the Tongue and Groove or Click mechanism that is so precise, each plank fits together perfectly and there is no warping and minimum wastage.
